One year ago, we opened the doors of the most gloriously unhinged IRC network on the internet, and what a year it has been.
When we first brewed up the idea of Debauched Tea Party, we weren’t entirely sure what we were getting ourselves into. A small, weird little corner of the internet where the tea is strong, the conversation is stronger, and anything can happen after midnight. One year on, we can say with complete confidence, it has been everything we hoped for, and then some.
A Year Well Spent
We have laughed, planned, schemed, and thoroughly debauched our way through an entire calendar year together. The channels have been loud, the bots have been occasionally chaotic, and the community has been absolutely wonderful. To every single person who has joined us, lurked in a corner, kicked off a late-night tangent, or simply dropped in to say hello — thank you. This network exists because of you.
We have met some genuinely brilliant, funny, and wonderfully strange people along the way. The connections made here from the regulars who never seem to sleep, to the newcomers who stumbled in and never left are what make this place worth building.

As we step into our second year, we are thrilled to announce that Debauched Tea Party will be merging with TheStorm IRC Network. This is an exciting milestone — and the beginning of something bigger and better for all of us.
We want to be upfront with you: nothing changes on our end. The name, the vibe, the channels, the culture — all of it remains exactly as you know and love it. This merger is about growing our foundations, not changing who we are.
What This Means for You
There is one important thing our users will need to do: re-register your accounts. As we migrate services across to the combined network, existing registrations will not carry over automatically. We know that’s a small hassle, and we appreciate your patience — the benefits on the other side are very much worth it.

1. Connect to the network as usual and join your regular channels
2. Re-register your nick with NickServ on the new combined services
3. Reclaim your vhost — vhost registration is fully supported and all bots are migrating with us

The website unaffected remains exactly as it is — same URL, same content, no disruption.
The radio unaffected keeps on broadcasting without interruption. Tune in as usual.
